It seems like it will work for all of them just cycling through Alarm02, Alarm03, etc. I used a very obnoxious sound that's sure to wake up the dead. I only did the first sound because I can set multiple alarms so I didn't need to do any more. The new sound will be the first sound in the list (Chimes) wav file of your choice an rename it Alarm01.wav ![]() IMPORTANT*******Your new custom sound file MUST be a. Rename “Alarm01.wav” to “Alarm01.bak” and save. Select Administrators and then click edit.Ĭheck the box that says full control then click OK. Right click “Alarm01” again and Click Properties again. Where it says Enter the object name to select, type your Windows Username. Where it says Owner: Trustedinstaller, click “change”. Go to C:\windows\media and right click “Alarm01” ![]() Microsoft does not make it easy to change the sounds in the app. I’m no expert but I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while. Taking ownership does work when done correctly.
